    Actual Obituary of Mrs. Mary A. Hudson mother of Margaret Hudson Mc New, who was the wife of Josephus Mc New: Perryville July 2nd, 1909- Mrs. Mary A. Hudson died at home of daughter and son-in-law- Mr. And Mrs. J.P. Clark.

    She was daughter of James & Rosannah Erwin of Scotch-Irish ancestry, born Huntsville, Ala. Nov. 5th, 1829.

    She came to Missouri with parents at age 3 years & lived in this community all her life except for ist year of marriage.

    September 16th, 1852 she married Joshua Hudson, 11 children born, 6 girls 5 boys.

    4 of the boys and her husband preceded her in death.

    The remaining- Dr. T.M. Hudson, Mrs. C.C. Valle of San Diego Cal., Mrs. Josephus Mc New, Mrs. J.P. Clark, Mrs. R.M. Wilson of Perryville & Mrs. John Bennett of Leadwood, & Mrs. Van Gibler.

    All were present when she passed away except Mrs. Valle.

    She also brought up several orphan children and a stepson George W. Hudson.

    Cedar Fork M.E. Church, laid to rest beside her husband in the old cemetery.
